Crew Planning Manager

The Job

Based in our Mumbai office you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations like Recruitment, planning, training, Introduction (or onboarding) and embarkation of the Ratings and ensuring that the selection of ratings to vessel of (abc) should be in line with the company standards and comply with the national & international requirements, which includes:

• Provide oversight for vessel Masters and Chief Engineers to ensure that planning is efficiently performed in accordance with contract requirements

• Oversee and execute the follow up for documentation check for smooth and error free embarkation

  Alerts the appraisal team for extracting appraisal reports prior planning and arrange for de-briefing if required

  Assist in optimizing logistic arrangements

  Maintain effective communication with vessel management, agents, and other relevant parties

  Assist, establish and maintain an effective cost control on all activities under purview

  Coordinate with Training Dept. for identifying training and courses needs and follow up on its execution

  In addition to the routine activities you are expected to take up add-on projects and also it will advantageous if you bring in new innovative ideas to the team in order to have more efficiency in performance delivery.

  Profile

  A Master Mariner, Chief Engineer or another marine background, preferably from tanker background
  Relevant experience and knowledge of planning and handling ratings
  STCW knowledge of certification required for ratings
